The only surly woman I’ve met in Cambodia serves me: fried rice with beef balls (AKA slices of a small beef sausage) and three big, sour pickles – two on the plate and one serving it. Add the soy sauce and stir in some hot chilli seeds and it’s a delicious lunch for USD3. ðŸ¤

Good sauce of omega 3
Hands up who likes Cambodian cuisine? Steamed fish fillet with mushrooms and ginger/soy/rice-wine sauce. I tip the last of the sauce over the rice – and “clean it up”. La Caverne De Kim restaurant, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.
Antiques and Debris: each a piece of history
This bloke’s shop is like a Disney movie set: a snapshot of Phnom Penh history with ancient Angkor weapons, colonial French figurines, antique artifacts, daily life’s debris. All preloved, dusty and lonely… Street 19, Daun Penh district.
Finding a chemist in Ho Chi Minh City
Travel Tip: Run out of medication? Filling an Australian prescription can be difficult, frustrating and full-on anxiety. In Ho Ch Minh City, Vietnam, My Anh “Pharmacity Super Drugstore” has pretty much everything and is nearish the airport. Address 1127 Nguyen Anh Thu, Phuong Trung My Tay, Quan 12.
Changing flight date
Had to change my economy flight date, went to Phu Quoc airport counter and Vietnam Airlines took care of it, they put me on the next flight and with no fee. You can be delayed/cancelled by overpriced Qantas / Jetstar or you can use Vietnam Airlines – and just go. ðŸ¤
