Ok, this is Korean Fried Chicken. You will see versions popping up across Australia. Seasoning (eg Lucifer spice, garlic soy, honeycomb etc) is a $2 option but I’ve opted for “plain” for a first try. And plain it is. This is nowhere near as salty as what Colonel Harland Sanders hooked us on as kids. Definitely choose a seasoning. At home I add a generous amount of salt, pepper and chilli powder (hey, I like chilli). A meal costs about $2 more than the Kentucky. This is the takeaway version. Traditionally, groups of friends or family would buy one or more whole chickens which would be cut up, prepared, fried, and consumed at leisure with cold Korean beer.
