Something fishy about basa

Folks, I’ve been making this point for a while: I’ve noticed that supposedly “sea fish” sold by some Melbourne fish and chip shops has an uncanny resemblance to freshwater Vietnamese catfish, called basa. Aldi supermarkets sell basa as frozen fish and label it accordingly. Guys, if the Hunky Dory restaurants owner reckons basa and dory fillets are similar (see Fairfax report below), I wouldn’t be buying fish from him.
